He painted numerous portraits of high-society persons, among others Ignacy Paderewski, the Radziwills, the Potockis, the imperial family in Berlin and the royal family in Romania. He painted idealized portraits of beautiful and elegant ladies or chamber and charming children portraits, including numerous portraits of his daughters, Ada and Helena. Herterich (1894) and at Academy Colarrosi and Academy Julian in Paris (1896-1898). He lived in Munich permanently but traveled around France, Belgium, England and Scotland. He painted numerous portraits of high-society persons, among others Ignacy Paderewski, the Radziwills, the Potockis, the imperial family in Berlin and the royal family in Romania. He painted idealized portraits of beautiful and elegant ladies or chamber and charming children portraits, including numerous portraits of his daughters, Ada and Helena. Szankowski participated in many exhibitions in Germany, Austria and Poland. In 1928 he had an important one-man exhibition at Warsaw Zacheta.
