    Zinkeisen was a Scottish painter known for her refined society portraits and large-scale murals. She studied at the Royal Academy Schools in London, where she won a scholarship and trained alongside her sister, Doris Zinkeisen.

    Anna Zinkeisen chose to specialize in portraiture and mural painting. Her portraits were admired for their elegance and compositional clarity, often capturing the poise and sophistication of her sitters. She and Doris frequently collaborated on decorative commissions, including murals for the luxury ocean liners RMS Queen Mary and RMS Queen Elizabeth.
