Desiderio Hernández Xochitiotzin was born in 1922. Desiderio Hernández Xochitiotzin was an outstanding painter of Tlaxcaltean origin, belonging to the second generation of the muralist movement of the twentieth century. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Puebla and later traveled to Europe for some time. While there he realized a period of strong artistic influence.
