    Feodor Andrejewitsch Bronnikoff studied in Saint Petersburg and was awarded an Academy Gold Medal for two paintings in 1852 and 1853. In 1854 he received a scholarship, went to Italy and settled in Rome near the Villa Borghese. Feodor Andrejewitsch Bronnikoff painted a variety of landscapes, village scenes and genre scenes. Returning to Russia in 1863, the Academy awarded him a professorship in history painting for his portrayal of Horace. Several times exhibited and distinguished, he died in 1902 near Rome.
