    Heinrich von Reder (1824-1909) was a German landscape artist, poet and officer. He had several fields of activity and lived and worked mainly in the South of Germany.

    Von Reder studied forest science at the Academy of Aschaffenburg and at the University of Munich. He composed several volumes of poetry such as 'Federzeichnungen aus Wald und Hochland', 1885 published in Munich, and he was the author of various soldier's songs. He rendered great service fighting as a soldier in the Franco-German War 1870/71. Von Reder was decorated with an order and honored with the title of nobility 'Ritter von Reder'.
