    Mikhail Alisov was born in 1859 and died in 1933.  From 1887 to 1889, Mikhail Alisov studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts under the guidance of Julius von Klever.  He then moved to the Crimea, where he painted in the studio of Ivan K. Aivazovsky.

    Alisov painted views of the Crimea and the area of Kharkov.  In 1914, he co-founded the artist group 'Yalta'.  At the beginning of the 20th century, his work was shown in solo exhibitions, organized by the Kharkov Artists Association.

    Today, Alisov's works of art are on display at the Museum of Sevastopol as well as at the museums of Kharkov, Tula, Nizhny Novgorod and Dnipropetrovsk. (cko)...
