    Moses van Uyttenbroeck was a Dutch artist who became a member of the Guild of St. Luke in the Hague in 1620. He drew inspiration from Italianate landscapes by his Dutch contemporaries, and painted ruins in his early years. He painted genre scenes with mythological and pastoral themes in his middle and later years, placing less emphasis on landscape. Only about 70 works by the artist survive
