Pedro Diego is an artist from a large family of artists, his mother was Ruth Rivera, daughter of Diego Rivera and Lupe Marín and his father was Pedro Alvarado brother of the engraver Carlos Alvarado Lang.

He studied at La Esmeralda and San Carlos, where he had Gilberto Aceves Navarro as his teacher. In 1992, she made an exhibition with Joy Laville at the Borda Garden in Cuernavaca.
