Participant in Annibale Carracci's workshop, Pietro Paolo Bonzi dedicated himself to the genre of classical landscape having as models the works of the master and Domenico Zampieri, without neglecting the examples of Paul Brill, with whom he collaborated in 1611 decorating the loggia of Scipione Borghese's palace at the Quirinale, while slightly later are the Stories of Diana painted for Palazzo Montalto in Torre in Pietra.
