In 1968 he won the Carrolls Prize for painting and in the same year began exhibiting with the Hendriks Gallery. Costelloe moved to North America in 1970, teaching at the North Carolina School of the Arts, and receiving numerous corporate commissions for his large-scale sculptures. He returned to Ireland in 1973 to teach at the Regional Technical College, Letterkenny, but was killed the following year in a road... Read full biography
