    Rodolphe Fornerod was a Swiss painter and illustrator who worked mainly in France. Studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts u. Académie Julian, Paris, u. A. Jules Lefebvre and Tony Robert-Fleury. Fernerod made primarily to genre scenes, portraits, still lifes and landscapes. In the twenties in Paris resident, he was influenced by Picasso and Vlaminck. Works of this period have cubist tendencies, so that the local work exemplifies Fernerods creative period. - works are in museum collections in Paris (Musee d`Art Modern), Lausanne, Montpellier, Glasgow and Tokyo. Fornerod lived from 1877 to 1953.
