Rosa Schweninger (1849 - 1918) . Rosa Schweninger came from a Viennese family of artists and was one of the most important portrait painters of her time. She received her first artistic training with her father, and studied at the Vienna School of Applied Arts with Frederick Sturm from 1869 to 1871. In the following years, she traveled to Munich, where she exhibited numerous works. Since 1879, she regularly attended the Vienna annual exhibition.
