    Willem Ferdinand Isaac Vaarzon Morel was a Dutch artist born in Zutphen. He studied at the Kunstnijverheidsschool in Haarlem and the Academy of Fine Arts in Amsterdam, as well as in France and various other European countries. He won the second prize of the Willink van Collenfonds in 1891 and was influenced by artists such as August Allebé and George Hendrik Breitner. Vaarzon Morel developed into a colorist with a French post-impressionist style, known for his elegant depictions of cityscapes and beach scenes. He exhibited his work nationally and internationally and is represented in various collections and museums.
