After the war, he joined the organization of artistic life and started teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. He went on a scholarship to Paris in 1947/48 and joined the group Le Surréalisme Révolutionnaire. In 1948, he moved to Warsaw and joined the Club of Young Artists and Scientists.
