From 1908 and 1912 Hans Zank (1889-1967) studied at the Art Academy in Leipzig, followed-up by some years of travel. Since the First World War interrupted his artistic development, Zank continued his studies from 1921 to 1929 at the art school of Johann Walter-Kurau in Berlin.
