Eland became inspired by his friend, the well-known Indonesian painter Carel Dake Jr, son of a professor at the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam, who advised him on painting. Eland became inspired by his friend, the well-known Indonesian painter Carel Dake Jr, son of a professor at the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam, who advised him on painting.
