She earned a BFA from Columbia University and studied in France on a Fulbright travel grant from 1953 to 1954. She has done numerous commission sculptures and has been an instructor of sculpture at Manhattanville College from 1961 to 1979 and also taught at the Pratt Institute and the School of Visual Arts. Her residence has been in the Bronx, New York.
