He won a Guggenheim fellowship in painting in 1979, and showed his work at M. Knoedler from 1979-1986. He was NewTalent Graphic artist of the year 1963 in Art in America. He never did serigraphs. He is a very early Second Generation abstract expressionist, showing at the Guggenheim Museum in1954 with Pollock, Motherwell, Kline, deKooning, etc. In addition to painting for over 50 years, and teaching mathematics for over 25 years, he wrote many math texts for the courses he taught, and after he...
