Alexander Reich-Staffelstein (1878-1952) was born in Germany in the year 1873. By the turn of the century he was active painting Seascapes, and European landscapes. Most of his paintings are larger in size, and have a strong sense of refection, and mood. He loved using the moon or the setting sun to reflect on the water to bring out the drama he wanted. Not much more is known about him as a painter. He died in the year 1952.
