In Munich, he was a pupil of the gifted painter Julius Lange, whose influence is evident in Feldhütter's idyllic landscapes. Deeply connected to his Bavarian homeland, he captured the scenery and landscapes of the Tyrolean border, Switzerland and northern Italy.
