World-renowned performance artist Marvin Posey, a former resident of Clarksville and an Austin Peay State University graduate, died Wednesday of a heart attack following a performance in Atlanta. He was 37. "He was an artist of growing reputation," said Phil Petrie of Clarksville, who owns a Posey piece. Mr. Posey lived in Nashville, and his art has been exhibited nationwide, including in Denver, New York and New Orleans.
