Art studies undertaken at the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts Jan Matejko was interrupted by the outbreak of World War II. It was the moment when the artist abandoned the artistic path and enlisted in the army. During its duration participated, among others in the September campaign. After the war, he settled in Scotland, where he decided to take up artistic studies again - this time at the College of Art in Edinburgh. After receiving the scholarship, he went to Paris and London. Art studies undertaken at the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts Jan Matejko was interrupted by the outbreak of World War II. It was the moment when the artist abandoned the artistic path and enlisted in the army. During its duration participated, among others in the September campaign.
