Otto Marx was a pupil at the AK Düsseldorf with Eugen Dücker. He was a member of the Rhenish Secession and founded the exhibition community "Oststrasse 108" in the mid-20s with Champion, Schmurr, Arno Breker, and others. In 1943, a large part of his work was destroyed in an air raid.
