He worked for several architectural firms, including Albany Designing in Albany, N.Y. for many years, and he was also an engraver of fine jewelry. He was born on Feb. 28, 1910, son of the late Carl and Alma (Johanson) Gustafson. Mr. Gustafson moved to Rockport in 1970. He worked for several architectural firms, including Albany Designing in Albany, N.Y. for many years, and he was also an engraver of fine jewelry. After moving to Rockport, he took up painting with watercolors. He was a member of the Rockport Art Association and a former member of the North Shore Art Association. Carl, at the age of 98, was a self-taught classical violin player, and he was still driving his car at the age of 100. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.... Read full biography
