Born in the French Draveil, Charles Euphrasie Kuwasseg (1833-1904) was a student of Jean-Baptiste Durand-Brager and Eugène Isabey. He was influenced by the Barbizon school and created especially landscapes, but also cityscapes and coastal views. He created some paintings in collaboration with Théophile Poilpot.
