In various art schools in New York City, most notably The Art Students League and School of the Visual Arts, he studied figure drawing and painting, anatomy, advertising design and illustration. Upon graduating he began his career in illustration, working for various and diverse clients such as Lietz, Burger King, Royal Air Maroc, Varig Airlines, Mary Macfaddon, PSE&G, and Orba Corporation.
