There he was together with Hermann Burghart the owner of a joint studio for theater painting and decorative art, which he later ran by himself. He was a painter of war at the Italian front from 1914 until 1918. He undertook journeys to Egypt and Palestine in 1930/31. He was commissioned the design of the Romanian pavilion at the World Fair in Paris in 1935. (tmi)
