Japanese born, Hajime Sorayama became an illustrator of erotic art---hyper-realist, ultra sexy female figures known as "sexy robots". He attended Shikoku Gakuin University, but left to attend the Chuo Art School from where he graduated in 1968. He then took a job as an illustrator for an advertising agency for four years before working independently as a free-lance illustrator. He lives with his wife and two daughters in Tokyo, Japan.
