The painting tradition of Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg can be seen: Eckersberg had specially rented an apartment with his students, where they could draw female nudes and paint. The silent intimacy begins Helme's, like his predecessors with the look of a voyeur. Helme's took many trips to France starting in the 1920's. The artist passed away in 1987.
