Painter, videographer, author of films and several books, Nyst (1942-1996) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Madrid and Liège where he became a professor. In his "relational conceptual" work, he uses painting, photography, videographic or filmic imagery and written language to trigger a mechanism of thought. Nyst was included in several solo exhibitions in Belgium and abroad (New York, Boston, Amsterdam . ). The artist was present at the Sao Paulo biennial in 1977 and 1985.
