He continued to paint mainly in Wachau in Lower Austria, where he created many of his popular market scenes. Later Geller continued his studies at the academy and attended a school for landscape painting under Eduard Peithner von Lichtenfels. He was a co-founder of the Hagenbund in 1900, one of the largest and most progressive groups of artists at the time. Geller was well traveled, having visited France, Italy and Eastern Europe and was awarded many prizes.
