Karel Chaba was born in 1925. Karel Chaba was famous for his bright paintings of Prague nooks and crannies, which became his lifelong inspiration. Although Chaba referred to painters greats such as Chagall and Mattise, he was able to keep his own original manuscript, mainly due to the absence of professional training. Prague was Chaba's love and in his works he looks at it romantically, dreamily and depicts it with undisguised naivety. The first solo exhibition was organized for Chaba in 1960... Burian Theater, the others followed soon after. The artist was represented in Czech and foreign collections and his work appeared in many solo and group exhibitions.
