With a name synonymous with the Op Art movement, Richard Anuskiewicz first achieved international fame when he was included in a 1965 survey of "optical art" at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Today he is recognized as one of the foremost colorists in American art, creating huge large-scale canvases. He was born in Erie, Pennsylvania and trained at the Cleveland Institute of Art from 1948 to 1953 and then with Josef Albers at Yale University where he earned an M.F.A. degree in 1955....
