Over the past four decades he has interpreted the southern Alberta landscape in his unique style. Brent’s art has been exhibited in shows in Canada, the US, Mexico, Europe and Japan. Over the past four decades he has interpreted the southern Alberta landscape in his unique style. Brent’s art has been exhibited in shows in Canada, the US, Mexico, Europe and Japan. His work was represented in Her Majesty’s Royal Collection at Windsor Castle in 1986, and also in the royal collection of Queen Margrethe of Denmark. Laycock has received numerous awards including the Alberta Centennial Medal for contribution in the arts.
