His realistic work portrays traditional Native American and Pioneer life, executed primarily in oil. His interest and appreciation for the American West began shortly after graduating from college, during a trip through several southwestern states. The dramatic scenery and colorful history of the area was so different from what he has experienced growing up in south Florida, that he was inspired to pursue mostly this subject for painting. David continues to travel throughout the western U.S., photographing interesting wildlife and landscapes which he uses for reference. He also attends period reenactments, posing...
