Carl Stohner was a German painter, art dealer and art consultant. As an artist he was self-taught and dedicated himself to art at a young age. He was discovered and promoted by the director of the Kunsthalle in Mannheim Fritz Wichert in 1911. From 1912-14 at the expense Wicherts, Stohner took a study trip to Paris.
