Shi Qi, born in 1939, Fuqing County, Fujian province. Now he is a member of Chinese Artists Association, director of Beijing Artists Association, professional painter of Beijing Painting Academy. He graduated from Xiamen Fujian Art School in 1963, where he learned oil painting and decorative painting but later fell in love with Chinese painting creation in 1970s. His works have been widely exhibited in the National Art Museum, the Cultural Palace.
