    Abdulhalim Radwi, born in 1939 in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, was a prominent sculptor, curator, and poet known for his contributions to Saudi modernism. He studied Fine Arts in Rome from 1961 to 1968, where his focus shifted from realism towards abstraction. Upon returning to Saudi Arabia, he became a teacher, influencing a new generation of artists like Taha Al Sabban and Ahmed Mater. Radwi's work combined Western artistic influences with local heritage, creating a unique narrative of the Arab world through Cubism and Expressionism. He was active in the 1970s as the Action Director of the Association for Arab Artists in Madrid and later graduated from the Royal Arts Academy in 1979. Radwi continued to teach in Madrid until 1984.
