    Abel-Dominique Marmande Boyé was born in 1864, and died in 1934. Levallois-Perret, genre and nude painter, studied at the École des beaux-arts in Bordeaux and Paris.

    Abel Dominique Boyé was a disciple of Benjamin Constant in Paris. In 1892 he made a trip to Toledo where he painted the picture "Le mendiant" (The beggar) which is preserved in the Albert Marzelles Museum in the French town of Marmande. In 1893 he visited Seville, the result of his stay is the work entitled "Un dimanche a Séville" or "Sevillana" (La Ilustración Artística, 1901).
