Abram Krol was born in Pabianice in 1919 and passed away in 2001 in Paris. Krol was a versatile Polish artist working in France. In 1938 he started studying engineering in Caen. In 1939 he joined the Foreign Legion. After demobilization he lived in Avignon with a fake Aryan identity. In 1943 he enrolled in sculpture and painting at the Municipal School of Fine Arts. In 1944 he moved to Paris. His first exhibition was in Paris in 1946 at the Katia Granoff Gallery. After the war, he painted and did engraving in medal.
