    Austrian artist Adolf Van Der Venne was primarily known as a painter of horses and genre scenes. He came from a family of Dutch emigrants and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Van Der Venne exhibited his paintings primarily at exhibitions of the Austrian Kunstverein, showcasing works such as "Horses at a Watering Place," "Horse Hunting with Hounds and Dead Doe with Fawn," "Hungarian Cart," and "In the Wilderness." In later years, he moved to Munich....
