    Adolphe-Louis Gaussen ( Marseille , 1871-1954) was a French painter, specializing in painting and coastal seascapes. He is considered one of the greater painters of Marseilles.

    He studied painting under the tutelage of Jean-Baptiste Olive at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Marseille, and as official painter of the Navy beginning 1928, he was a camouflage and combat artist.

    He was also appointed curator of the Musée Cantini in Marseille. In 1946 he entered the Academy of Marseilles.
