Albert Henry Schroder, also know as Al, by his friends and fans, was born February 13, 1929, in Weehawken, New Jersey. He passed away December 15, 2004 in Pistol River Oregon, his home and Studio for 33 years.

Albert Schroder was know for his paintings that recorded a vanishing America. He felt that it was his calling to record the remembrances of lost hopes and dreams. His realist style of oil painting captured the bygone era of old lighthouses, churches, railroad depots,town halls and most of all, beautiful old mansions.
