    Albert Knoke was a German painter born in 1896 in Heiningen near Wolfenbüttel. He was likely self-taught and was friends with Kurt Schwitters. Knoke was a member of the German Artists' Association Weimar and participated in several exhibitions, including the Great German Art Exhibition in Munich in 1942 and the 3rd German Art Exhibition in Dresden in 1953. He was a founding member of the German Artist Association and was active in Hanover.
