    Alexandre René Véron, a pupil of Paul Delaroche, transitioned from studying under Delaroche to focusing on landscape painting. He was associated with the Barbizon school and drew inspiration from artists like Charles-François Daubigny, Théodore Rousseau, and Jules Dupré. Véron preferred painting scenes between the forest of Fontainebleau and Auvers-sur-Oise. He exhibited at the Salon for over thirty years starting in 1848, holding a significant position among the artists of his era. Véron's works are housed in various French museums and the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
