    Professor Alfred Jensen (1859 - 1935) born on November 16, 1859 in Randers (Denmark) - died on June 29, 1935 in Hamburg Danish/German marine painter.


    Went to sea at the age of 14 and traveled to Africa, Australia, China, etc.


    1884/85 studied with H. Leitner in Hamburg, then he went back to sea.


    1897 Continuation of studies at the Academy in Kassel with Professoor E. Neumann, then based in Hamburg. Taught at the School of Arts and Crafts in Hamburg.


    In 1896 he received the honorary diploma in Kiel, in 1901 in Lyon the gold medal and the cross of honour. Was made an honorary member of the French Academy.


    Worked to include Air yacht in a storm, Hamburg port, Wester-Till-Ton
