    Alfred Gomersal Vickers was a painter, draftsman and illustrator. He was born in London, England and died there (1). His mediums included oil, watercolor, graphite, pencil and mixed mediums. His subjects included genre*, figures, landscapes, cityscapes, buildings, harbors and boats. His style was Realism*. In addition to his travels to Russia (noted below), he toured Germany, France, Poland, Holland, Belgium, and Switzerland (2). Several works by him are in the permanent collection of the Yale Centre for British Art, Hartford, Connecticut (3).
