    Born in Vorarlberg, Austria, Alwin Arnegger studied philosophy in Vienna and Prague. In 1906, he moved to Munich, where he took painting lessons from Hans Bertle (1880-1943). He then studied under Julius Diez (1870-1957) at the Kunstgewerbeschule and attended the class of Carl von Marr (1858-1936) at the Academy of Arts.

    Alwin Arnegger was focused on portraits and landscapes which were usually based on areas around Vorarlberg and Munich. His works are very sought-after collectible items and successfully traded on the international art market. (cbo)
