    Anatoli Vasiliev was a Soviet artist and painter who was a member of the Leningrad organization of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR. He graduated from the I.E. Repin LIZHSA in 1950 and studied under Viktor Oreshnikov and B.V. Ioganson. Vasiliev worked as vice-rector and acting rector of the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture. He made creative trips to various regions in Russia, including the Russian North, Baikal, Buryatia, and Gurzuf. Vasiliev participated in numerous city, republican, all-Union, and international exhibitions from 1950 onwards.
