    Although appointed official painter of the Navy in 1947, André Bizette- Lindet is particularly known today as an author of monumental sculptures treated in a wide variety of techniques. In effect, at the request of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, he notably decorated the bronze doors of the Museum of Modern Art of the city of Paris, inaugurated during the Universal Exhibition of 1937, and rewarded with a "diploma of honor ".

    Bizette-Lindet attended school in Le Mans where he befriended the future architect Pierre Savin (1909-1998). Then trained at the National School of Fine Arts and at the School of Decorative Arts in Paris, he distinguished himself in 1929 by obtaining the "honorable mention" at the Salon des Artistes Français...
